Mrs. Betsey Lynn Fennel 84, passed away peacefully at her Red Bluff home on March 27th of 2023. She will be greatly missed by her husband H. Jack Fennel and their children Jeffery and James, daughters-in-law Ruth and Alex, and their five grandchildren, Jaeda, Erin, Ceighlee, Connor, and Cameron, as well as her sister, Phyllis Overeem. Betsey was predeceased by her brother David Philbrook and her parents Phillip and Virginia Philbrook.
A kind and loving light to all who knew her, her faith and love for the Lord guided her with compassion, empathy, and service to others. She loved helping anyone in need, especially homeless folks, and animals. She cared for all who needed her love and kindness, often visiting her homeless friends to make sure they knew she cared about them. Her love of nature and art was an influence and inspiration to all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 2 pm at The First Church of God located at 750 Luther Rd. Red Bluff, CA 96080
As she was an avid reader, in lieu of flowers, the family requests books be donated to the Tehama County Library. Please bring new fiction and children’s books to the service for donations.
