Virginia Harvey, 74, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Americus, Georgia she was a daughter to the late Robert Patterson Sr. and Mary Bell (Graham) Patterson.
Her primary focus in life was that of a housewife and homemaker. Virginia loved cooking and her family enjoyed eating her delicious food; especially her biscuits, cornbread dressing and chicken & dumplings. She also loved watching family feud, the movie Friday and listening to Motown music as well as anything by Michael Jackson. Whenever she needed peace of mind, Virginia cleaned, having a clean house was very important to her. She will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends for her funny, outgoing personality and her loving caring nature. She will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known her.
Virginia's spirit will be carried on by her daughter Jennifer Thomas; son Reginald Patterson; daughter-in-law Keyana Profic; and her brother Henry Patterson. Virginia also leaves behind 8 grandchildren; Lamaris Thomas, Matthew Patterson, Jarrod Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Brianna Patterson, Jayvius Patterson, Julius Patterson, Zy-Anna Goodwin; and 4 great grandchildren Levana Thomas, Jayden Patterson, Amir Patterson and Isaiah Patterson to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband Johnny Lee Harvey; and her 5 siblings John Patterson, Robert Patterson Jr., Ruth Kearse, Maryann Patterson and Geneva Monts.
A viewing for Virginia will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, followed by a home going service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Frank D. McCracken, Sr..
