Rosemary Diane (Kutz) Gechter, 79, formerly of Kenhorst, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Embassy of Hearthside-State College. Born in Reading, PA on September 18, 1944, she was a daughter to the late James M. Kutz and Ruth M. (Shanaman) Kutz.
Rosemary was a secretary at the courthouse for most of her working life. She approached her work with unwavering determination, ensuring that every task was completed with precision and care.
Rosemary was a woman of varied interests and passions. She found great joy in watching the Miami Dolphins, completing crossword puzzles, strumming her banjo, going on road trips, the beach and going to fairs, especially the Oley fair. She loved watching the Food Network and the antics of Scooby-Doo. Her affection for animals knew no bounds, and she showered her furry companions with endless love and affection.
Known for her quick wit, great sense of humor, and a repertoire of wisecracks and original sayings that never failed to bring smiles to those around her. As the class clown, she had a knack for turning any moment into an opportunity for laughter. But beneath her playful exterior lay a heart of gold, brimming with compassion and love. She will be missed by all blessed enough to have known her.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years George Clair Gechter and her sister Joan Rickenbach.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter Melissa Vogt.
A viewing for Rosemary will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd. Reiffton.
