Robin Ann Dorsey, 64, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Penn State Health St. Josephs Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA on February 20, 1959, she was a cherished daughter to the late Howard Francis Dorsey and Sarah Jane (Robertson) Dorsey.
Robin had a heart for serving others and helped care for elderly patients throughout her 17 years as a CNA, at Manor Care. She was also a member of North Eighth Street Church, in Reading.
She had a motivating and calming spirit, and possessed a great sense of humor. Robin's greatest gift was the love she gave her family. Her family brought her much joy, and later her joy was increased by being with, caring and spoiling for her grandchildren. She taught them how to pray, about love, kindness, compassion and humility.
Every once in a while, life offers us the opportunity to know and love someone so unique, so special, that describing them in a few words is difficult at best. A beautiful woman with a beautiful heart too big to describe, a blessing to everyone she knew, and a light in this world that greatly needed it. She will be dearly missed by all blessed enough to have known her.
Robin's spirit will be carried on by her daughter Tara Dorsey and her spouse Anthony Rodriguez; son Thomas Dorsey; 8 siblings William Davis, Cynthia Hayes, Richard Dorsey, Roberta Wilson, Catherine Spragley, Janet Giddens, Clara Dorsey and Louise Dorsey. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren Sincere Rodriguez, Jayvion Dorsey, Josiah Swanson, Annabella Dorsey, Dareion Dorsey and Annalyce Dorsey and a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
A viewing for Robin will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. Home going service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 12:30 PM, with Elder Frank D. McCracken, Sr. officiating. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606.
