Robert "Bob" Richard Shuff, Sr. 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 with his loving wife, Lynda and family at his side. He was the oldest son of the late Richard and Marie (Cotter) Shuff of Philadelphia.
Bob was born September 22, 1940. He attended MBS Elementary school and graduated from West Catholic High school. After serving as a Philadelphia Police officer, Bob moved into life as an entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses. Later in life, Bob spent time driving a truck for Koch Industries.
In retirement, Bob was a devoted husband, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Surviving Bob are devoted wife, Lynda (Wenger) Shuff; two sons, Robert "Rick" Shuff, Jr. and his wife, Maureen of Sewell, NJ and Steven Shuff and his wife, Catherine of Spring City and one daughter, Kathleen (Shuff) Grim and her husband, Jeffrey of Exeter; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Also surviving are siblings; John Shuff and his wife, Beth, of Morgantown, Mary Mowatt and her husband, Henry Margaret "Midge" Shuff and Sara Jane "Sally" Marchuk all of NJ.
Bob is predeceased by a sister, Catherine Shuff.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 12:30pm on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Catharine of Siena Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Reading with Rev. Msgr. Edward Domin as celebrant. Friends may greet the family Saturday at noon at the chapel. Inurnment will follow the mass in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Reading.
Bob passed from life after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma and will be remembered as the strong patriarch of the Shuff family.
