Ramona Vega, 86, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Reading Hospital-Tower Health. Born on October 12, 1936 in Dorado, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter to the late Ignacio Rivera and Cruz Morales.
Ramona was a parishioner at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, in Reading.
Ramona took pride in always looking her best and enjoyed shopping especially for handbags and jewelry. She also enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino, going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Ramona was a compassionate, loving and caring person. She continually put the needs of others before her own and will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have know her.
Ramona's spirit will be carried on by is survived by her husband Israel Vega; her 3 daughters Wanda Martinez and her husband Efrain Martinez, Maria Espada and her husband Jose Espada, Maria Pool and her husband Larry Pool; her 4 sons Ramon Mojica-Rivera and his husband Thomas Gorham, Antonio Serrano husband of the late Myrna Serrano, Juan Mojica, and William Mojica. She also leaves behind 5 siblings, 28 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by her 1st husband Leoncio Mojica-Gonzalez, her daughter Carmen Rodriguez, her brother Antonio Morales and 4 other siblings.
A viewing for Ramona will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. A secondary viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Funeral mass will promptly commence at 10:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 322 S. Fifth St., Reading, PA 19602.Graveside committal will immediately follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605.
