Patricia Sewell

Patricia Sewell was born May 31, 1950 to the late Robert Sewell, Jr. and Essie Mae Seawright in Philadelphia, PA. Affectionately known as Mommy, Ms. Pat, Trish, Mother Patricia, and Sister Patricia, passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 74 at Genesis Rehabilitation and Health Center in Reading, PA.

Patricia graduated from Bok Technical Vocational School in 1967 and later attended Stratford Career Institute. She dedicated many years to helping others through her work in Medical Outreach at Fairmont Health Clinic and as a Therapeutic Support professional.

A longtime resident of Reading, PA, Patricia was a faithful member of Lighthouse Christian Center serving in several ministries. She also attended St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith and dedication to her church community were cornerstones of her life.

Patricia was dedicated to studying the Word and witnessing to others about the goodness of the Lord. She had a passion for cooking, singing, playing the keyboard, writing songs, and reading a variety of genres to seek deeper understanding and knowledge. Ms. Pat, as she was lovingly known, also enjoyed dining out, shopping, going to the movies, and spending quality time with her friends. She favored attending church functions and was known for her warm, generous spirit.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Cheri Brunson and Carmella Johnson who she loved dearly; son-in-law Dale Johnson, three grandchildren, Jasmine Ast, Gianni Polanco, and Kendra Johnson; her bonus daughter Naomi Duncan; and bonus grandson Joseph Santana. Patricia is also survived by her sister, Marie Sewell-Richardson (Alfred), brother Phillip Sewell, sister-in-law Terry Sewell, and a host of family, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The viewing of her body will be from 10:30-11:00 followed by the Home Going Celebration at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at the Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd Reiffton. The burial will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Patricia's family invites all who knew her to join in commemorating her life and legacy.
