She was the loving wife of the late Louis F. Sterley. Mr. Sterley passed away in 2005. Born in Absecon, NJ on May 8, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Serafina (Stappina) Paolino.
She was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Church. Margaret was employed with Oritsky as a cutter and later at Wilson as an assembler of shield to safety glasses for 10 plus years. She was also a member of the AFLCIO Union.
Surviving Margaret are five children: John J. Sterley and his wife, Nancy of Limerick; Edward E. Sterley and his wife, Nancy of Spring Twp.; Marco J. Sterley of Spring Twp.; Richard A. Sterley and his wife, Cheryl of Phoenixville and Patricia A. (Sterley) Fiucci and her husband, Robert of Reading; 10 grandchildren: Kirk; Dean and his wife, Cindy; Joan and her husband, Michael; Ann and her companion, Michael; Tom and his wife, Eva; Michael and his wife, Mary; Todd and his wife, Cindi; Denise and her husband, Michael; Mark and his wife, Stephanie and Angela and her husband, Jeremy; two step grandchildren, Sherry and her husband, Sang and Michael and his wife, Denice; 24 great grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and five step great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her half-brother Anthony "Dewie" Paolino and half-sister Dorothy "Nina" Wade. In addition to her parents and her husband; Margaret is predeceased by an infant son, Junior Sterley; a grandson, Baby Eddie and two sisters, Edith and Antoinoette.
Mass of Christian Burial will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the Chapel of the Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale 19605. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. An additional viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Margaret will be laid to rest next to Louis in Gethsemane Cemetery.
