He was born in Reading on February 16, 1957, a son of Anna (Maurer) of Largo, FL., and the late Marvin H. Schloder.
Jeffrey was a faithful member of St. Catharine RCC since 1978 and a 1975 Wilson High School graduate. He graduated from Lincoln Technology in 2002 with a degree in electronic engineering. He was employed by Dana Parish Corp for 22 years as a mechanical maintenance/millwright, then to Teleflex Marine in Limerick, PA., as an electrical engineer for 8 years and lastly, Carpenter Technology as a mechanical maintenance for 12 years until his retirement in 2020.
Jeffrey enjoyed camping with his travel trailer, planning vacations, especially Disney family vacations. He was a DIY project person who could fix and build anything. The family motto was, "If Pop can't fix it, we're all screwed." He enjoyed going to the gym with wife Carol, the love of his life. Going on walks with Carol who he always called, "his blushing bride." They were the couple everyone admired from always holding hands, to wearing matching outfits. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. Jeff bowled for years on Dana Parish League and was a Boy Scout throughout his life as a youth and an adult.
Jeffrey loved peanut butter, steak, peanut butter cake, cookies and grilling and smoking meat. He really treasured his retirement life, spending time with his grandchildren and making big meals for holidays and family gatherings.
In addition to his wife, Jeff is also survived by his daughter, Janelle Schloder and her fiancée, Thomas Testa of Mt. Penn, PA., and his son Jonathan and his wife, Brooke Schloder of Sinking Spring, PA., 3 grandchildren; Ava, Sophia, and Jake Schloder, grandcats; Maggie and Milo, sister, Sara Jane and her husband Dennis Beshore of Fleetwood, PA., and several nieces and nephews.
Prayer services will be Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 12 noon in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 391 W. Neversink Rd Reiffton. Burial to follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be Wednesday 10-12 noon in the funeral home.
