He was a funny, caring, and kind soul who would not hesitate to give someone the shirt off his back. Although he was shy, when he would come around to trusting someone, he was positively loyal to them, and there’s proof of this in the countless friends he had and has near and far. Whether it’s dancing like Prince or Michael Jackson, Javien was always known to be the life of the party no matter where he was.
As a child, he enjoyed going to the park, to the movies (with some extra snacks courtesy of his grandmother), to the museum, and to Old Country Buffet because he absolutely loved to eat! Even with new foods, if someone cooked it, he’d try it. When he was really small, whenever he wanted something to drink, instead of saying “thirsty,” he would tell his grandma Betty “I’m firsty,” and his brother Jaquan would chime in after with “I’m second-y” or “I’m thirty,” and the joke stuck ever since. Between playing Pokemon and Beyblades with his brother Jaquan and going to the Northwest Branch of the Reading Public Library with Grandma, Javien loved books and learning, as well as everything fun. He loved the road trip he and his brother Jaquan went on to Virginia Beach with their Grandma Karen, playing car games like naming cars and others along the way.
Javien found creative avenues in both fashion and music. He loved wearing both modern and old-style clothing and was able to create clothing designs with his brother Jaquan. His love of music grew tremendously after his brother brought him along to a recording studio. He set up his own recording space at home in the hopes of creating more music.
He is survived by his mom, Nafisa Azeem; father, Jeremy Perch; brother, Jaquan Perch; brother, Jaeden Deshaun; sister, Aniyah; grandmother, Karen Pinckney; grandfather James Pinckney; grandmother, Betty Perch; grandfather Derston Perch; Uncle, Klae Myers, father of Amish and Brenton; uncle, Andrew Perch, husband of Ashleigh Perch; uncle, Shaheed Butler, husband of Abbie Butler, uncle Mustafa Azeem; 38 cousins; godmother, Penny; and his family in Barbados, which includes the Mapps, Lavines, Hurleys, and Perch's, Stubbs, Mayo's, Butler's, Bailey's, Tisdale's and Muhammad's and in Trinidad and Tobago respectively.
