Helen Stella Kern 96, of Muhlenberg Township passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Reading, PA on June 13, 1927, she was a daughter to the late Richard A. Black and Helen S. (Wiza) Black.
A true connoisseur of life, Helen found delight in the simple pleasures that surrounded her. She enjoyed sewing, going shopping, listening to music and traveling the world.
Helen was the epitome of grace, kindness, and resilience. She spent her life embracing the roles of a dedicated housewife and nurturing mother. Helen dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home for her family. Family meant everything to her, and she was the pillar of support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Helen's wisdom and gentle guidance were a source of comfort during both joyous and challenging times. Her unconditional love and selflessness created a strong foundation that will continue to resonate through generations.
Helen, the cherished matriarch of her family, left a legacy of love, warmth, and strength that will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
Helen's spirit will be carried on by her daughter Jean Jones; her 7 grandchildren Lena Cooper, Stephanie Tyson, Christopher Jefferson, Ronneshia Morrison, Ronda Morrison, Ronald Morrison and Reetha Dubinkin. She also leaves behind 20 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Helen was greeted in heaven by her husband Leonard Kern and her daughter Joan Covel.
