Born in Reading, he was a son of the late David and Nellie (Hewitt) Johnson.
A proud veteran of the United States Army and former member of the Army Military Band, Harry enjoyed music…..especially jazz and big band. He also enjoyed photography and his trips to Atlantic City.
Harry was employed as a Production Technician with the former Polymer Corp., Reading, for 20 years before retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his son, Harry C. Nealy, husband of Jacqueline of Exeter Township. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Sharese Nealy and Shadonna Mayfield and two great granddaughters Anshane and Shareana and his longtime friend Elizabeth Merritt. He was predeceased by his brother David Johnson and his grandson Harry C. Nealy, Jr.
Services will be held in Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. 19601 on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Friends and family may view on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 pm. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery will be private.
