Gerald "Jerry" Charles Boyer, 69, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away at home with his wife by his side on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Gerald is survived by his loving wife Karen L. Rosales-Boyer who were married for 18 years, together for 32. Jerry was born in Reading on October 6, 1954 a son of the late Robert C. and Anna H. (Ashton) Boyer.
He was a 1973 Reading High School graduate. Jerry was a volunteer Firefighter for the City of Reading and served as a constable for the County of Berks and lastly, Security at Reading High, Walmart, VF Outlet and Redner's. He was avid in Okinawan Karate for 55 years reaching 5th degree black belt and a proud member Masonic Chandler #227. Jerry loved to travel to Florida especially, Clearwater, St Pete's Beach and Key West. He was a former president and lifetime member of Ivy Leaf Assoc. Jerry was a lifelong 49er's fan in Eagle's country and in his spare time, would find his way into a casino. Jerry was an animal lover tending to his turtle, cats and bird.
Other survivors are his daughter, Holly Holt, 2 brothers, Lee and his wife Cathy Ashton of Florida, Robert Tooley of New Jersey, 2 sisters, Linda Angstadt and Geraldine Rivera both of Reading, and 2 grandchildren, Brianna and Kya and many nieces and nephews.
A Family & Friends Memorial Gathering for Jerry will be Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd, Reading, PA. 19606, followed by A Masonic Service and Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM.
