Edwin Francisco Martinez, 56, of Allentown, PA entered eternal life unexpectedly on Monday, May 18, 2020, at his residence. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, on September 9, 1963, he was the cherished son of the late Flor Maria (Sanchez) Montes and Francisco Martinez.
Edwin was a Reading High School graduate and worked for many years in customer service for Hartford Insurance Company.
Edwin enjoyed going out, loved to have fun and had an excellent sense of humor. He was a very gracious and giving person who would do anything for anyone. Edwin would give freely and without a thought for himself or his own needs.
Edwin is survived by; his beloved and spoiled pet cockatoo, Diego; 2 sisters; Lourdes Y. Morales and her husband Carmelo, of Mohrsville, Rocio Martinez and brother Orlando Martinez. Edwin also leaves behind 1 niece; Noralee Morales; 3 nephews Carmelo Morales Jr., Adrian Morales, Erasmo Morales and his wife Brittani Morales.
In addition to his parents, his beloved aunt Carmen Figueroa greeted Edwin in heaven.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Theo C. Auman, Reading. Due to current restrictions, services will be private and at the convenience of Edwin’s family.
