David Mark Ammon, 68, of Wyomissing, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Reading Hospital. Born in Milwaukee, WI on July 03,1956, he was a cherished son to the late Elizabeth Catherine (Knowles) Ammon and George Marks Ammon.
A man with the gift of gab and a deep love for music, David spent 15 years behind the turntables with B&B Light & Sound, keeping the party alive with his favorite ’70s classic rock—the soundtrack of his life. His passion for sports began on the baseball field in high school, but as the years passed, he traded his glove for a remote and found great joy in cheering on his beloved Phillies and Eagles. Though baseball and football were his favorites, David was a fan of all sports, always ready to watch a game and talk stats with anyone willing to join in on the banter.
Never one to shy away from a conversation, David could talk to anyone about anything. He had the gift of gab, and if there was an award for chit-chatting, he would’ve taken home the trophy every time ! But perhaps his most defining role was being the ultimate mama’s boy—his mother’s pride and joy, and in her eyes, he could do no wrong.
David's spirit will be carried on by his sister, Eileen Shores, and her husband, Phil; his nephew, Shawn Shores, and his wife, Brittany; and his four great-nieces and nephews, April, Miah, Mark, and Emily. He also leaves behind his cousin and best friend, Kim Althouse, and her son, Bailey to cherish his memory.
An inurnment for David will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 at 2:15 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the cemetery entrance by 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741
