He was predeceased by his wife Annie Monyer in 2020.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harold A. and Emma Marie (Poff) Monyer.
He was employed as a Machinist with Textile Machine Works for 20 years and lastly Carpenter Technology for 17 years prior to retiring.
He is survived by his son in law, Robert A. Kershner and his grandsons, Robert Kershner and wife Michelle (Moses) Kershner and Jason Mell and wife Tiffany (Godek) Mell. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Nadine M. Kershner in January 2023.
A graveside service will be held in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Road, Reading (Exeter Township) PA 19606 on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 am. Attendees are invited to meet inside the cemetery entrance on the right side drive to process to the gravesite together. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Phoebe Berks, 1 Heidelberg Drive, Wernersville, Pa. 19565
