Clarence “Richard” Weller, 92, of Pottstown, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his residence. Born October 13, 1929 in Shillington, PA, he was a son of the late Clarence I. and Dorothy M. (Hartman) Weller.
Richard spent most of his working life with Baldwin Brass factory, until his retirement. He enjoyed playing bingo and going roller skating with his late wife, Betty. He loved bald eagles, watching General Hospital and baseball, specifically the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be greatly missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
Richard's spirit will be carried on by his daughter, Debra Barends, of Pottstown, PA; son, Bruce (Claudia) Weller, of Colorado; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Harper, of Pottstown, Kevin (Victoria) Weller, of Colorado, Jason Weller, of Colorado, and Matthew (Chelsea Lenski) Weller, of Colorado. Richard also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, Miranda Harper, Amber Harper, Tallan Harper, Leia Weller, Connor Weller, and Evelyn Weller; and sister Lois Kline to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, he was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife of 48 years, Betty Lou (Bare) Weller; whom preceded him in death in 1998; 2 brothers Robert and Ronald Weller and sister, Barbara Weiand.
Family & friends will gathering on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Theo C. Auman, 247 Penn St. Reading, PA 19601. A memorial service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 12:00 PM, with Sheryl Manzella officiating. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
