Chester Robert "Bubber" Freeman Jr., 82, of Mohrsville, PA passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Reading, PA on June 27, 1941, he was a son to the late Chester Robert Freeman Sr. and Alice Adele (Heath) Freeman.
Chester served his country with U.S. Army during the Korean conflict (peacetime), showcasing his commitment to duty and honor. After his honorable discharge in 1963, Chester worked at Doehler-Jarvis as a production worker, where he dedicated 30 years; retiring in 1997. He also worked part-time as a cab driver for Reading Metro Taxi, as school bus driver and crossing guard for Fleetwood Area School District, and as DJ.
Chester's love for music and drumming became a central theme in his life, whether he was spinning tracks as a DJ or playing beats on his drums set. In his spare time, Chester enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Fishing trips and woodworking brought him joy, while weekends spent exploring yard sales became cherished moments of discovery.
However above all, Chester cherished spending time with his family. His love for them was evident in the stories he shared, the laughter he ignited, and the songs he sang. His humor was infectious, and his ability to light up any room made him a beloved figure in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Chester's memory will live on through the rhythms of the music he loved, the tales he told, and the laughter he shared. As we bid farewell to a hardworking family man, let us remember him for the joy he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he leaves on our hearts.
Chester's spirit will be carried on by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carol Ann (Goda) Freeman; his son Chad R. Freeman and his fiancé Karen Brass, of Apollo Beach, FL; his 4 daughters Deborah L. Halloway and her husband Brad, of Sinking Spring, PA, Denise M. Olson and her husband John, of Virginville,PA, Julie A. Freeman and her companion Fabian Ovid, of Temple, PA, and Cherie L. Freeman and her husband Tino, of Mohrsville, PA. He also leaves behind his brother Robert L. Freeman; 7 grandchildren Chanel Michale and her companion Eric Vega, Ryan Mierzejewski, Madison Freeman, Mackenzie Freeman, Jocelyn Mierzejewski, Sven Olson, Christy Michale; and 4 great grandchildren Vera Vega, Ehve Vega, Maveric Vega and Reverie Vega to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his his 2 sisters Susan M. McAlvage and Betty A. Hines and 2 brothers Donald R. Freeman and Paul L. Freeman.
