Betty Lee (Towson) Daye

Born in Pottstown on May 14, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Barbara E. (Hudson) Towson. She was a private duty nurse for over 40 years.

A faithful servant of the Lord, she was a member of Invictus Church in Pottstown when she was younger and as an adult, a member of Holy Trinity Church of God in Reading. Betty loved to dance, cook, play spades, gamble, travel and host house parties. She doted on her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Her family was everything to her.

In addition to her sweetheart, John; Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons: Rodney Williams of Wilkes-Barre and Tyrone Williams of Mount Penn; three step sons: John T. Daye, Jr. and his wife, Crystal of Pottstown, Phillip Daye of Pottstown and Michael Daye of Pottstown; a step daughter, Angela Daye of New York; a daughter-in-law, Debbra (Ormsbee) Williams, wife of the late Jerry Lee Williams; four brothers: Anthony Towson and his wife, Tracey of Arizona, Ronald Towson and his wife, Lonnie of Kansas, Alfred Towson of Pottstown and Robert Towson of Pottstown; a half sister: Doris Ann Allison of Reading; eight grandchildren: Adrian Blanco and her husband, Adalberto, Vanessa Carter, Kendrick Stewart, Christopher Josey, Roslynn "Latoya Mayes" Holmes, Tyrone Williams, Jr., Isiah Williams and his wife, and Lanea Williams and nine step grandchildren: Autumn Daye, Calista Daye, Kalil Daye, Dominique Daye, Raymond Daye, Jr., Angela Nicole Daye, Kiara Daye, Kianna Daye and Pierce Daye

Also surviving are a host of great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Barbara (Hudson) Towson; two sons: Marvin Williams, Jr. and Jerry Lee Williams; a brother: Timothy Towson; three sisters: Joy Towson, Diamond Towson and Jeannie Towson and half sister: Leslie Henderson.

Home Going Services for Betty will be Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11am in Invictus Church, 79 N. Hanover St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Viewing will be in the church on Saturday from 9 to 11am. Betty will be laid to rest in Second Baptist Cemetery, Pottstown. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading is honored to serve the family in their time of grief.
