Arthur Lee Green

Born in Camden, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Abrom and Mattie Mae Green

Mr. Green worked at the former Birdsboro Steel for many years and last worked for Empire Steel, Reading prior to retiring in 2001.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: William T. Lockhart, Sr. and wife Tammy of Kenhorst; Fred J. Lockhart and wife Naomi of Columbus, OH and Samuel G. Lockhart, Sr. and wife Esperanza of Reading. He is also survived by his daughters: Darlene wife of Will Sanders of Jackson Springs, NC; Joann wife of George Ellisson and Carrie Reid both of Reading and Dolores wife of Andrew Allen and Evelyn wife of Michael Ferguson both of Rockingham, NC. He is also survived by his brothers; John, Major, Bennie and Henry. Also surviving are his 23 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Michael Lockhart, Sr. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Mary Gaultt, Minnie Samuel, Lena Mae Dixon, Lucy Mae Thomas, Mildred Moore, Theodore Green, Tillman Green and George Green.

Services will be held in Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:00 am. Friends and family may view on Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 am. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
