Angel Rene Vega, 68, of Chambersburg, PA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Jefferson Einstein - Montgomery Hospital. Born on February 2, 1956, in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico he was a son to the late Angel Vega Santiago and Ziola Padua Vega.
For several years, Angel worked as a warehouse worker and drove forklift with various companies. He was also the proud owner/operator of 'Vega Cleaning Service'.
Angel was a true outdoorsman who found joy in being one with nature. His green thumb was legendary, and his passion for yard work and gardening transformed his property into his own oasis. In his spare time, he also enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and camping.
In addition to his strong work ethic and love for nature, Angel was known for being a jokester. His infectious laughter and witty sense of humor could light up even the gloomiest of days. Angel had a unique way of connecting with people and bringing them together, often addressing everyone with his signature term of endearment, "BRO". He was a natural conversationalist, never hesitating to strike up a conversation with neighbors, friends, or even strangers passing by. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others made him a cherished figure in his community.
As we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, let us remember Angel for the joy he brought to our lives, his love for the outdoors, and the laughter that will forever echo in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
Angel's spirit will be carried on by his daughter Angelica Vega and her husband Francisco; his son Israel Vega and his wife Heather; his 6 brothers Pedro, Efrain, Angel, Juan, Getulio, Robert; his 6 sisters Adelaida, Iris, Milta, Gricel, Lucy and Alicia. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Wilberto, Kyara, Nevaeh, Luz, Julia; and 2 great grandchildren Nehemyah and Kylo to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Angel was greeted in heaven by his sister Menelba.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Ministerio La Cosecha/The Harvest Ministry, 1108 Sheller Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201, followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
