I can't believe it has been 6 years.  In some ways it feels longer, and yet just like yesterday.

I still think of Lori so often and miss her as if she were still in Key West. 
I’ve vacationed in Key West twice since she’s been gone. I must admit, just being where she spent the last few years of her life, made me feel her presence. 💕

9 months.  I miss you like crazy.  I had an experience at Costco last week.  Was it you sending me a sign?  I'd like to think so.
I saw this woman at Costco with the same exact leopard print tattoo, in the same exact spot (no pun intended) that Lori had. No matter where I went in Costco, there she was. We nearly ran headlong into each every time.
She didn't look like Lori, wasn't her age, body type, but had her tattoo, and other tats. She also didn't smile--Lori could sometimes be a sour puss.
When I got to checkout, she was in the line next to me. I could not help myself, so before she left, I pulled her aside and told her that seeing her had made my day. At first she looked at me like I was nuts, until she heard what I was saying. And then she smiled. I hope that made her day. 
I then started crying, silently, until I could get the hell out of Costco, and sit in my car and sob.
I saw you today Lori. I saw you, at Costco. 🐝💔

Dear Lori,yesterday would have been your 36th birthday. I am so thankful that you were my daughter. You were a gift from God. I am just crushed today,I lost you and then six months later,Dad passed away. My two Amigo's are gone and I am alone now. Please know we had a wonderful party for you last night. We celebrated your short but amazing life. You are missed every day by friends and family. I miss you and Dad every minute of every day. I am alone most of the time but I stop and think about you and Dad and what we all had,It was wonderful. So my Baby, I will continue to pray for Dad and you. Until we meet again,I love you

First birthday without you.  I age, you stay the same.  So strange.  I think of you everyday.  I talk to you everyday.  I don't cry so much anymore, but try to find the humor in things.  I love you.

Can it really be 2 months?  I cannot fathom the rest of my life without you.  Why did you have to leave?
There is not one day that goes by, that I don't think of you.  Your wit, your humor, how smart and kind you were.  
I will look for rainbows now, and think of you, only because unicorns don't exist--I think you were the last and only true unicorn.  I love and miss you Lori.  Now and forever.

I remember visiting Grandma and Grandpa as a kid, and watching spice girls with you.  You were so excited that I liked the movie, and we had so much fun watching it together.  You were so incredibly nice to me, and made sure I had a good time.  I will never forget that time with you.

My heart is breaking for you all right now! I love you all so very much and I always will!! I pray that God will wrap you in his loving arms and comfort your hearts as only He can!! Sending you lots of love and prayers always!! Lori, I love you, my very special angel friend!!

Such a heartache for all that knew her.  I met Lori when she worked at La-Z-Boy.  She would come in, after working for the IRS all day and  work during the week and hours on the weekend.  She would always walk in with a BIG smile.   If she had had a bad day you would never of know it.   Her work ethic was impeccable and I enjoyed working with her.  I am grateful to have known such a lovely young women.  My heart goes out to her family!

 

Lori is loved by her Mother, Father,  Brothers, Sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews and is missed by all.

It is so tragic to lose a loved one so early in life..  Lori meant something different to everyone,but the same to all,she  will be truly missed.

Lori,
You were the sassiest, funniest, smartest, most beautiful little sister I could have asked for.  You had fun with Spenser, remember the gorilla mask?  That was one of the funniest things ever.  You cried when you held him for the first time, you rode home in the back seat with him, his first car ride home from the hospital, you protected him like he was your own.  You loved him completely, and it made me feel proud of you.
I can't believe you are gone.

My beautiful daughter Lori will have her viewing on Thursday 6th December. My baby left this earth too early. She was recovering from brain surgery at Tri Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Lori was doing well and was to come home Wednesday. Lori was Baptized in St.Peter and Paul and attended school at St Peter and Paul. She went to High school at Lockland High school. She then went on to Antonelli College. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Interior Design. She worked for I.R.S. for 14 years and also at Lazy Boy in Loveland. She moved to Key West in December of 2015. She found work quickly and worked for Snuba Key West. She was their book keeper and scheduled all dives and Sunset cruises. Lori was a very active young lady. Mike and I,her parents, were blessed to spend last winter and part of spring with her in Key West. I loved how she always put us first,came over every night after work and had dinner with us. Afterwards we would watch Steve Harvey. These are memories that we will have forever, We had plans on moving to Key West but Mike suffered three more heart attacks and in October was diagnosed pancreatic cancer stage four. Lori came home for Dad she wanted to make sure he and I were OK. When she got here she was not well I took her to the hospital and the admitted her right away. She has surgery the next day,Sunday. It took eleven and a half hours to remove a five centimeter tumor on her brain. She struggled thru the recovery and just when things looked good,she was supposed to come home Wednesday,she suddenly passed away on Sunday night at eleven thirty five. Our hearts are broken into so many pieces I feel as though we will never recover. We lost our baby,we are devastated we will never "recover". Lori had the Blessing of the sick and received communion while at Good Samaritan Hospital. Please pray for my girl. God please hold her in your Great Hand and keep her safe.

The world will never be the same without her in it. She always had a smile and an encouraging word for those around her  and always helpful in some way or another.  As we were leaving for the day at work she always told us goodbye. She always made everyone felt loved. She was loved. She will always and forever be held in our hearts.  We love you Lori "Snowy."  

Lori and I met at the IRS and became friends after bonding over how ridiculous Aqua Teen Hunger Force was. She then got me hooked on the Walking Dead and the rest is history. I’ll miss watching random YouTube videos, doing weird imitations of celebrities, getting hyped to Lady Gaga, making up nicknames for Frank, and her laugh/snort whenever something “zany” happened. I wish I had planned my trip to see her sooner.  RIP friend. I love you and send your family love during this time.

The world is definitely a sadder place without Lori. I don't think my soul will ever recover. She was the most beautiful, caring, and sweetest person I have ever worked with. I will miss her dearly. I can still see her, in my mind like it was yesterday, saying goodnight, in her sweet voice with that beautiful smile, to all the coworkers in our unit before she would leave for the day.

I worked with Lori aka Snowy to us IRS co-workers. She was always so helpful and kind to whoever she met and talked to. I never heard her say anything bad about anyone. Heaven surely gained a beautiful angel. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP LORI!! 

Lori Alison Davis, our youngest daughter left us unexpectedly on the evening of December 2nd, 2018. Lori had come back to be with her father who had suffered his 7th heart attack and while recovering from the heart attack was found to have stage four metastatic pancreatic cancer which had metastasized to his liver. When Lori arrived back home in Cincinnati we realized something was also very wrong with her. She was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Room. Several MRI's were done and a tumor in her brain was found, pressing on the pituitary gland, the optic nerve, and wrapped around the carotid artery. An eleven and one half hour surgery to remove the tumor was done the next day, Sunday October 28, 2018. The surgeons were able to successfully remove the tumor. After two weeks in the NICU, Lori was transferred to the TriHealth Rehabilitation Hospital for further recovery and rehabilitation. Lori was scheduled to return home with us on Wednesday the 5th of December, 2018. 
Lori grew up in Arlington Heights, went to elementary school at S.S. Peter & Paul school in Reading, went to Lockland High School, and graduated from Antonelli College Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Interior Design. Lori worked at the IRS in Covington, Kentucky and also at LazyBoy in Loveland. She moved to Key West in 2015 and worked at Snuba Key West and Key West Cocktail Cruises. Lori took and booked the reservations, did the accounting and payroll for the company. 
Lori was our youngest, we had planned to share an apartment with her in Key West. Her death has been devastating to Kathleen, her mother, and me, her father. We shall never forget or stop loving her. She was very kind and thoughtful. Her sense of humor was contagious. We will probably not be able to fully recover in our hearts and souls . We will meet with Lori once again when this life on earth is finished with us. We Love You Lori and miss you dearly, so we shall not say goodbye, but  until we meet again in the next life
