He was born November 19, 1942, in Akron, to Forest and Katherine (Allrutz) Pryor. Tom graduated in 1960 from Garfield High School in Akron and went on to work as a tire maker with Firestone Tire & Rubber for 25 years, before retiring from Kent State University Groundskeeping in 2000.
Tom enjoyed fishing in his earlier years. Lately, he enjoyed watching old Westerns and hanging out with his Yorkie Paisley Grace.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife Sandy (Wachsman) Pryor, who he married October 22, 1966. He is survived by his daughters Denise (Scott) Weaver and Lori (Forrest) Miller, his granddaughters: Megan Schott, Katie (Jacob Wise) Weaver, and Sara Weaver, as well as his brothers: Charlie Pryor and Ray (Lee) Pryor, along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Friday, May 6, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Private burial will take place on a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
