He was born February 7, 1959, in Ravenna, Ohio, and raised in Brimfield Township. Ted graduated from Maplewood Career Center and worked as a diesel mechanic. He retired from PARTA in 2016 and previously worked for R&R Mack.
Ted enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved NASCAR and NHRA racing, as well as attending sporting events and county fairs. Much of his spare time was spent working on cars or other projects around the house, but he was always willing to drop what he was doing to help someone else.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife Virginia DeVaul Morrow, son Dustin (Samantha) DeVaul, daughter Danielle Morrow, grandchildren: Dakota and Trystian DeVaul, his mother Joyce (Tom) Persinger, sisters: Margie Ellis, Tina (Tom) Druery, Tammy Pinney, and brother Frank Swartz, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including his protective companion, “Moose”.
Ted was preceded in death by his father Theodore Morrow Sr., his dad Jerry Swartz, his mother-in-law Jacquelin DeVaul, his brother-in-law Dale Ellis Sr., and his uncle Ray Ebie.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:30 AM with a memorial service beginning at 11:30 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
