Stefanie A. Aten

She was born on May 9, 1970 in Ravenna, OH. to Stanley and Barbara Hillis. She married in 1994 to Jeffrey Aten, Streetsboro, OH.

Stefanie was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, December 29, 2019, and father Stanley, September 24, 2020.

Stef served as a homemaker and homeschooled her children for over 20 years. She served as a Team Manager/Scheduler for the Hearts for Jesus Christ travel basketball program. Stefanie volunteered for several years as a Sunday school teacher for her church. She also worked as a volunteer of Hospitality for Bill Glass Behind the Walls Ministry, as well as serving Thanksgiving meals annually in Twinsburg.

Her family was the most important part of her life and she always placed them first.

Survivors include daughters, Alison and Jessica, sons, Alex, Jarrett, Joshua and Aaron. Her siblings, Tracie (Rick Bakken) Myers of Brookpark and Trisha Hillis of Ravenna.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Wood Kortright Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 East Main Street, Ravenna, Oh. 44266, and again on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life, officiated by Rev. Dr. Christopher Kuzma, at Venture Church, 935 Frost Rd. Streetsboro, Oh. 44241. Please join the family directly following the service for a lunch reception.
