He was born April 13, 1954, in Columbus Ohio, to parents Douglas and Carol (Snyder) MacLean. Scott graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1972, a participant in football and cross country. He worked as a Service Technician in the industrial pump industry, first with Flowserve and retiring from National Pump & Process Inc.
Scott was a Christian and former member of the Church of the Brethren in Kent. He loved the outdoors, especially golfing (worked at Oak Knolls), bicycling, canoeing, camping, fishing, or sharing stories around a campfire. Another passion in Scott’s life was music. He was a talented guitar player in several local bands including Iron Heart.
Scott is survived by his mother Carol MacLean, his father Douglas (Betty) MacLean, his brothers Kirk (Mary) MacLean and Brett (Brenda) MacLean, Brandon (Sarah) MacLean, Brent (Nicole) MacLean, Bryant MacLean and Brooke (Timothy) Paul along with generations of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 1:00 –2:00 PM with funeral services officiated by Reverend Julie Blake Fisher at 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E.
