Sally Frances Scaggs

She was born June 22, 1931 to the late Hubert G. Conn and Bonnie Lee (Ellis) Conn in Logan County WV. She was a 1949 graduate of Logan High School. She married Don Scaggs of Logan WV in 1951.

She loved to cook, make quilts, read, do crafts and word puzzles, watch Hallmark movies and read her Bible. Her happiest place was with her family!

Sally is survived by her daughter, Patricia Reynolds (Rick) of Kernersville, NC. Also survived by Doug Starkey (Donna) son-in-law; siblings Eva Lusher, Janice Novak (Carl), James, Criss, Rachel (Ray), and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her grandchildren Tiffany (Scott) Welling, Annmarie (John) Moodie, Heather (Jason) Welsh, Rebekah (Jim) Billock, Danielle (Chris) Gentille, Ryan (Alicia) Reynolds, Jason (Gabriela) Reynolds and Melissa (Daniel) Seymour. Great grandchildren Hannah and Connor Welling, Lily, Claire, Ava, Ethan and Noah Moodie, Emma and Ean Billock, Aaron and Seth Welsh, Cameron, Guilianna, Brycen Gentille, Rachel, Caleb and Joshua Reynolds, Eleanor Reynolds, and Jonah Seymour. Survived also by lifetime friend of 84 years Hazel Mills Kinser and daughter Melody.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don Scaggs, daughter Donna Starkey, parents Hubert G. and Bonnie Lee (Ellis) Conn, brothers Hubert, Willis “Tom,” Paul and Fred.

Friends and family will be received Monday, August 3, 2020, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with funeral services officiated by Reverend William Aiken at 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. It is required that everyone attending services wear a mask and practice social distancing. The number of individuals permitted in the funeral home at any one time will be limited. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
