Robert A. Hutsler

He was born November 14, 1931, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Robert Charles and Rebecca (Wagner) Hutsler. Bob graduated from Kent State High School and then joined the US Marine Corps, proudly serving in the Korean War.

Bob was a carpenter and general contractor, operating Cannon and Hutsler Construction for many years. He was a longtime member of the former Rootstown United Methodist Church, a member of Rockton Lodge #316 F&AM, and a member of the Brimfield Lions Club.

Bob enjoyed tinkering around the house and going shopping and to restaurants with his wife, Barbara. He also enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was bird watching, deer hunting, or riding snowmobiles.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara J. Hutsler, and his son Michael Hutsler.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Deborah Hutsler, his grandchildren: Meghan (Tom) Weese and Rob (Sarah) Hutsler, as well as his great-grandchildren: Tommy Weese, Kyle Weese, Autumn Hutsler, Lorelai Hutsler, Dylan Hutsler, and Claire Hutsler.

Graveside services will be officiated by Pastor David Rosenberger on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Full military honors will be provided by US Marine Corps and Kent American Legion Post 496 Honor Guards.
