Richard Dick A. Kato

He was born November 4, 1939, in Tallmadge, Ohio, a son of the late Andrew and Eileen O. (Carey) Kato. Richard served in the US Marine Corps and the US Army. He was a member of VFW Post 1055, American Legion Post 331, and Moose Lodge 1234. Dick retired from Viscase after 36 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was a former member of Born Free MC.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Debora J. Kato; his children: Richard A. (Atherton) Kato Jr. of Austin, TX, Debra J. (Atherton) Kato of Fresno, TX, Tammy (Bruce) Rucinski of Akron, Kimberly (Mike) Soltis of Dallas, TX, Kellie (David) Harris of Ravenna, and Charlie Livengood of Ravenna. Dick is also survived by his grandchildren: Kyle and Nicholas Harris, Bryce and Ella Livengood, Krystal Friend, and Robyn Rucinski; as well as his faithful pooch, Kasey.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 31, 2011, from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM funeral service officiated by Pastor Gary Beck at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, OH 44266.
