Raymond Cain

Ray was born September 6, 1960 in Ravenna to the late Raymond M. and Joyce (Jones) Cain.

Ray was an extremely gifted horseman who spent his life training and showing horses both locally and across the country. He touched the lives of every person he mentored in the horse community and showed them the truest meaning of being a gentleman. Ray was always available to offer his advice, his kindness and his winning smile to everyone.

Ray suffered from many ailments and hardships throughout his life but he will be remembered for his fighting spirit and positive attitude. His perseverance was an inspiration to many.

Besides his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brother Darrell Cain.

Ray is survived by his sisters, Janice Santimarino and Candy Alessi, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held from 1-3pm, Sunday, November 13th at the Ravenna VFW Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Rd. in Ravenna.
