Rachel Lee Lantz

Rachel was born on April 12, 1938 in Buckhannon, W.VA. to parents Okie M. and Elsie M. Dean. Rachel was retired from St. Thomas Hospital after 33 years as a nurse’s assistant. She loved to cook and garden, canning what she grew. Rachel was bound and determined to get her sauerkraut and apple butter done which she did. She was a very kind person who would do anything for anybody if she could.

Surviving Rachel are her sons: Aubrey Lantz and Jeff (Christine) Lantz. Surviving also are her grandchildren: Billy, Alex, Michael and Christopher Lantz and her great-grandchildren: Haley, Allen Gene, Erin, Amber and Jasmine. She also leaves her sisters: Christine Sherman, Virginia Shanabarger and many loving family members.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aubrey Lantz and her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna where funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00AM with Pastor David Ballert officiating.
