Perry Allen Rice

1959-2023

Perry A. Rice, age 63, of Atwater, OH, passed gently away on September 17th, 2023.

Perry was born on a chilly winter’s day on December 17th, 1959. He was the blessing of the late Ray and Mary Rice. Perry was a graduate of Springfield High School. He worked sheet metal for over 30 years and then started working at Lowes in 2015 where he worked for 5 years before he retired. Perry loved many things in life but always found his peace working the farm. He was a gentle man with a kind soul who was loved beyond measure and will be missed by all.

Perry leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years Brenda Blankenship, his beautiful children Brittany Rice (Mike Cary) of Wellington, OH, Shane Leech (Teresa) of Kent, OH, and Josh Leech (Stephanie) of Alliance, OH; one son-in-law Franklin Skinner of Rootstown, OH, 10 precious grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister Brenda Tucholski (Cass) of Ashtabula, OH, and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by one daughter Heather Skinner and his brother Douglas Rice.

A memorial service to honor the life of Perry will be announced at a later date.
