Nancy A. Moore

Nancy Ann Moore, 75, of Ravenna, was born January 29, 1940 in Rootstown, Ohio to the late Robert and Celestine Staley. Mrs. Moore passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland.

She had been a resident of Ravenna since 1968 and was formerly of Rootstown. Mrs. Moore retired from Kelch Industries where she worked as a machine operator. She was courageous, strong, loyal, kind-hearted and cantankerous. Nancy was always positive and in great spirits, even in her last days.

On September 11, 1990 she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Junior” whom she married March 2, 1968. She was also preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Taylor and brother Ronald Staley.

Survivors include her daughter Tammy (Wes) Dean of Ravenna, son Richard (Jessica) Moore of Stow and her grandchildren: Robert (Barbara) Dean, Jessica (Michael) Walton, and Jeremy, Jackson and Kaden Moore. Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She also leaves her brother James (Judy) Staley, her step-sister Linda (Bill) Stern, and her step-mother Inez Staley.

Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Sunday, January 10, 2016, from 4:00 - 6:00pm and on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 12:00pm until the 1:00pm funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
