Nancy was born on March 1, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Thomas and Edna Smith. She grew up in Hawthorne, California where she met her husband, Richard Hose, and was married in 1972. After moving to Ohio in 1975, they settled in Windham in 1977, where she remained until her death. Nancy had 4 children, 4 bonus children, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Nancy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Windham where she served for 45 years. She lived every day, every moment, to serve others, not because she had to but because she loved to. She wanted to; it was "her pleasure". She loved everyone unconditionally with zero expectations. Always joyful, always smiling, always encouraging others.
Nancy was proud, not of herself, but of her family and their accomplishments. She wasn't just proud of their awards or achievements in school and work and other things, but proud of who they were, how they acted, how they treated others. She bragged on her kids and grandkids constantly! If you spent any time at all with her you would get well versed in her family!
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Edna Smith, and her only sibling, Linda King.
She is survived by her children Kathy (Tony) McIntyre of Windham, Sharon (Joseph) Stratton of Warren, Cindy (Ben) Bannister of Wyoming, and Richard (Nona) Hose Jr of Ravenna. She leaves 11 wonderful grandchildren, Anthony (Sara) McIntyre Jr, Alicia McIntyre, Sierra Hahn, Dale Allena Hahn, Skye Hahn, Rachel Hose, Nikki King, Roo Hose, John King Jr, Bryonna Hose, Charlie Hose, and 5 beautiful great-grandchildren Apollo, Maddie, Braxley, Jemma, and Saint.
