He was born September 14, 1948, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Marshall Earl and Mary Georgette (Kenward) Lohr. Michael was affectionately known as “Mick”, and will be remembered as a kind and gentle person. He attended Happy Day School and worked at Portage Industries. Mick was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Randolph. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Special Olympics Bowling Team, and always enjoyed bowling at Twin Star Lanes.
Mick is survived by his big brother Keith Angel of Randolph, dear friend John Wohlwend of Randolph, as well as all of the dedicated caregivers who helped throughout his life, including: Barb Dawson, Leslie Pasco, Sandra Humes, Rebecca Fagan, Meko McWain, Mark Anderson, Lesa Liebhart, Chris Neff, Leslie Stehler, Audrea Milburn, Kierra Williamson, Carol Steiner, Laura Speaks, and Lois Waples.
Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Reverend Tom Akcker, S.J. and Reverend Ed Wieczorek at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Randolph. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna and 1 hour prior to funeral services at the church.
