Mark Rodger Swingle Jr.

Mark was born in Akron, Ohio on November 28, 1979. He was one of three children born to Mark and Kathy Swingle and was the beloved husband of Vicki Swingle for over 13 years. He was the Maintenance Manager at Woodgate North Apartment complex. Mark will forever be remembered by his cherished children Nicole, Amber and Xander; devoted sisters: Sylvia (Matt) Prokop and Amanda (Felix Torres) Swingle, his parents and his lifelong best friend Mike Summers, who referred to Mark as a “rock solid dude”, and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Also surviving are his in-laws: Cathy Ellison and Martin Lucas.

Mark was a multi-talented, hardworking man who loved spending time with his wife and children to whom he was a wonderful father. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, inventing things, hiking, astronomy and was an excellent marksman. He could fix anything from a leaky faucet to rebuilding a motor. Mark touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and his sense of humor could make anyone laugh. He was like a big teddy bear and will be remembered by his father and mother as “the best bud in the whole world”.

Friends will be received Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
