Mark was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 13, 1959 to parents Gerald and Louise (Guilkey) French. He graduated from Elyria Catholic High School and obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. Most recently, he was employed at ACME supermarkets.
Mark loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding ATVs’ and dirt bikes, fishing and camping. He loved to read and go antiquing with his wife Denise. Mark was a happy, jovial person and loved to play Santa at work. Mark loved watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and thoroughly enjoyed the many road trips he and his wife took exploring Ohio.
Mark is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denise (Morris) French, his mother-in-law Carolyn Confer, his Goddaughter Julia Beck Silva of Portugal and his beloved furry companions Buttons, Fred and Wilma. Also left to cherish his memory are his cousins and good friends.
His parents, his brother John French and grandma YaYa preceded him in death.
Per his wishes, cremation is being honored and no services are scheduled at this time.
