She was born on August 25, 1921, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Salvatore and Candida (Manina) Cancilla. Marguerite was the youngest of ten children. She graduated from Ravenna High School in 1939 and Bohecker’s Business College. Marguerite retired from the accounting and payroll department of the A.C. Williams Company.
She met the love of her life, Bill Pinter at a K. of C. Valentine’s Day Dance and they were married on September 14, 1946. Together they had two children, Bill of Ravenna and Margie (Joe) Weaver of Brimfield. Faith in God and love of family were the two most important parts of Marguerite’s life. She enjoyed cooking special Italian meals and pastries and celebrating the most important times of the year, Easter and Christmas. Marguerite was the loving grandma of Maggie (Brian) Cook of Mentor and Jenny (Tony) Dietrich of Medina and most special nana to Hallie and Willow Cook and Julia and Katrina Dietrich. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A life-long member of Immaculate Conception Church, Marguerite had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She enjoyed preparing spaghetti dinners as the President of the Italian American Ladies Auxiliary and serving in the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a devoted Cleveland Indians and Cavs fan and cherished her family with the greatest love.
In addition to her parents, Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bill and all of her brothers and sisters.
Her family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers at The Avenue of Aurora and Crossroads Hospice. They would also like to thank Father James M. Deprile of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish for her final blessing as well as the Eucharistic Ministers who brought her Holy Communion.
