Louise Wilma (Moore) Black, age 94, passed away on January 23, 2021. She was born to the late Fred G. Moore and Faye L. (Warner) Moore. She grew up on a farm in Ravenna Township, and graduated from Ravenna Township High School in 1944. She married James R. Black of Shalersville Township in 1947, and the family eventually settled on a dairy farm in Randolph Township, where they lived for several decades. Her last years were spent at Anna Maria of Aurora and The Kensington at Anna Maria.
In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Black, her daughter Diane L. Moyer, her great granddaughter Brittany Hayes, her sister Arlene Yates, and her bothers Earl Moore and Leonard Moore.
She is survived by her daughters Susan F. Hadinger of West Columbia, South Carolina, Pamela J. Black of Northfield, Ohio, and her son Leonard P. Black of Hilliard, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tiffany (John) Heeter, Tonya (Casey) Barker, Mitch (Carmen) Hadinger, Marie (Patrick) Coggin, and Madelyn Hayes, and by 12 great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a small funeral service, officiated by Pastor Laurie Metzko, for friends and family in the chapel at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph, Ohio at 11:00am on Friday, January 29, 2021. Interment will follow.
The family would like to express its gratitude to the staff at Anna Maria of Aurora for taking such good care of Louise and to Crossroads Hospice Services for their assistance during her final days.
