Linda Joyce Tissue

She was born August 5, 1941, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to parents Edward and Thyra (Jackson) Stafford. Linda graduated from South Union High School. She was a certified nurses’ assistant at Maison Ainé in Stow for many years and retired at 72, but continued working part-time as needed until the age of 76.

Linda loved all animals, especially her poodle Lucky. She enjoyed drawing cartoon characters and decorating her home. Linda truly cherished her time that she spent with her family and friends. She made everyone feel welcomed and loved.

Linda is survived by her son Russell Alan (Gayle) Tissue, her daughter Tammy (Len) Kowalski, her sister Janice (Richard) Greene, her grandchildren: Savanah (Nick) Raby, Brandon (Lina) Tissue, Steven Tissue, Brittany Tissue, Sierra Tissue, Chad Tissue, Holly Tissue and Lauren Davis, her great-grandchildren: Miller Raby, Steven Tissue Jr., and Linda Tissue, as well as many extended family members and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her son Charles Tissue, her brothers Edward and Charles Stafford, and her sisters Rebecca Bell and Bette Capan.
