She was born July 16, 1938, in Valley Head, West Virginia, to parents Charles and Hazel (Martin) Matthews. Lila worked for AC Williams and retired from Genie Corporation in Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her husband George W. Coffman, her parents, and her step-daughter Theresa Coffman.
Lila is survived by her sister Glenna McCollam of Mill Creek, West Virginia, her niece Ronetta Lanham, her nephews Charles and Victor McCollam, her step-sons: Rick, Jerry, Russell, George Jr., and Mike Coffman, and her step-daughters Pat Revezzo and Diane Truex.
