Larry W. Melton

In memory of our loving Father and Papa, services will be held at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. in Ravenna, OH from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Celebration of Life to follow immediately after services at the VFW Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Rd. Ravenna.

Family welcomes all those who cared for and appreciated the unique life of Larry W. Melton to share memories. Larry was born in Akron, Ohio July 18, 1948, and attended schools and worked many years at Akron Insulation. His skills and talents were endless. He was a survivor! His joy was family. Larry started at an early age hunting, fishing, and trained various types of hunting dogs. He was known far & wide for these skills. He was recognized at the age of 16 for catching the largest coon in Akron, OH. His four children are grateful for teaching them many of these life skills.

Larry was married to the mother of his four children, Julia. Survived by four children: Veleene, Shaunda, Jason, Jennifer and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, all who will greatly miss their Father and PaPa. Also the rest of his family, and friends who were all special in Larry's life.

Larry is preceded in death by his dearly loved mother, Frances Melton and his sister Alice Caldwell. He also leaves behind a younger brother, Rick Melton.
