Joyce M. Bates, 97, passed away at her residence in Laurel Lakes in Hudson, Oh. on September 2, 2023.
Joyce was born in Ravenna, Ohio on August 27, 1926 to parents Charles and Hilda (Marsh) Bates. She graduated from Ravenna High School and Kent State University. Joyce went on to enjoy a 34-year career at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., retiring from the business market research department. Joyce had also attended the Rootstown United Methodist Church.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Janice E. Bandrosky and her nephews Timothy Bandrosky and Daniel Bandrosky.
Per her wishes, cremation is being honored and a graveside memorial service with Chaplain Jon Dodson will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
