He was born in Allegheny County, PA. on May 6, 1938 to parents William and Ann Fox. Jack was a retired carpenter and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. His life revolved around his family 100 % of the time. His wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were most important and loved spending time with them. He could fix or build anything and recently enjoyed building go-carts and four wheelers. Jack was an astute businessman who had formed and operated two companies related to the construction industry. He loved the warm weather and enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years. Jack was a humble and great man and would help anyone in need.
Jack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marian and his eight children: Dale Fox, Frank (Michele) Lavigna, Lorraine Fox, Mark (Beth) Lavigna, Melia Fox, Lori (Jack) Walden, Lisa Kainrad and Johnna (Daniel) DeJacimo. Surviving also are his grandchildren: Stephanie, Matt, Aaron, Emily, Garrett, Bryant, Ashley, Tyler, Gary, Casey, Mark, Michele, Jack Ryan, Brandi, Christian, Noah, Joey, Nick, Jake and his great-grandchildren: Logan, Douglas, Lylia, Eric, Braedyn and Brooklyne. Jack also leaves his siblings: Ronald Fox, Douglas Fox, Thomas Fox, Darlene Nolker, Dorothy Blake, Sandra Shorts, Sharon McCall, Linda Hollingsworth, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and one sister, Patricia O’Malley.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18th at 11:00 A.M with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Palmyra West Cemetery.
