John W. Hopper Jr., 72, of Deerfield, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away at his residence on September 17, 2024.
John was born in San Bernardino, California on October 21, 1951. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. serving his country in Vietnam. John enjoyed a long career as a truck driver, retiring as a million mile truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to casinos and watching NFL football and NASCAR racing. Most of all John enjoyed spending time with and talking to his family.
John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Angela Hopper. He is and was her best friend and the best part of her as a husband. John is also survived by his children Brandon (Sonsie) Hopper, Sean (Cheryl) Hopper, Meghan (Randy) Wunschel, Jordan (Joy) Smith and seven grandchildren. He also leaves his sister & brother-in-law Sue and Allan Harold, his best friend Arthur Campbell and his beloved cat “Icey”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
Per his wishes, cremation is being honored and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
