Jeffrey C Helmling

Jeff was born in Ravenna, Ohio to Charles and Carolyn Helmling, the oldest son of three children. He grew up taking care of the family farm, tending to the cows, and bailing hay every summer. From a young age, Jeff had a love for working on vehicles, especially Dodge trucks. Jeff graduated from Rootstown High School and began working for Hughes & Luli Trucking. Jeff was then employed by D&K Materials and Portage County Engineers for many years where he served as a truck driver and bridge welder.

Jeff married the love of his life, Pamela (Riemenschneider) Helmling on May 14th, 1993. Jeff and Pam built a life together with their three children Hannah, Amber, and Adam. Jeff enjoyed building vehicles for demolition derbies, hunting for deer, and spending quality time with family.

Jeff is survived by Pamela Helmling, Hannah Helmling and fiance Jacob Michael, Amber Helmling and fiance Josh Hollyfield, Adam (Gia) Helmling, Charles and Carolyn Helmling, Christina (Roger) Taylor, Lisa (George) Yukich, and all the many friends he made over the years.

Anyone who would like to pay their respects to the family or share their favorite memories of Jeff is invited to a Celebration of Life held at The NEW Center at NEOMED, 4211 State Route 44, Rootstown, Ohio 44272 on April 14th, 2024. The event begins at 1:00 PM, guests are welcome to stop in at any time.
