this was my great-grandfather, and i dont remember him well, but i always hear that he was such a great cook, and theres stories my grandmother (his youngest daughter) told me about how i would rub his feet. i wish he was still alive so i could talk to him, but i enjoy the stories, theres so many, and he was a talented and brave man

I was just looking for Mr. Webb and found this obituary. I am so sorry for your loss.
I am putting together a book about a scrapbook my mother did during the war. In her scrap book from this are many letters and some were from Mr. James Webb then Pfc and from Toledo, Ohio.

Just last week I read the article about Mr. Webb receiving the Legion of Honor Award after all these years and thought the story was so interesting.  When I read of his death, I was very sad but so thankful he received this prestigeous award!  I grew up with the Webb family and was a member of the Randolph Methodist Church.  He was a wonderful man with an amazing family and I have very fond memories of spending time and growing up with his children.  I'm sure he has left wonderful memories that will live in your hearts forever.  You are in my thoughts.

I am sorry for your loss to the Webb family.  Your dad was a great man. So interesting to talk to . So many stories he told and I could of listened all day to him.  I loved the way he tried to speak Italian to me and I am Italian but didnt understand Italian.  He will be missed. But will be in our hearts forever.
