James Daniel Toth, 62, of Kent passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Born April 17, 1960, he was the son of the late Donald Joseph Toth and Margaret Ann Toth.
Known by all as Jim, he is survived by his loving partner of many years, Cheryl Mansfield; two sons, James Lee (Shana) Toth of Mayfield Heights and Andrew Joseph Toth of Cuyahoga Falls; two grandsons, Brayden Toth, and Carson Toth; and one brother William Joseph (Anita) Toth of Garrettsville. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond Joseph Toth and Michael Allen Toth; and one sister, Patricia Lynn Yarick.
Jim was the life of every party he attended and fast friends with nearly everyone that had the chance to talk to him. He was known for his impeccable sense of humor, charisma, and intelligence. He was a man who went out of his way to get the family together for every holiday, birthday, Browns game, and every other possible day in between, even if it’s just for a home cooked meal on a weeknight or a quick visit when passing through. Jim graduated from Crestwood in 1978. He had a distinguished career of over 40 years in the field of rubber extrusion from an after-school job at Mantaline Corporation until he retired as a plant manager for Performance Elastomers. Throughout his life he demonstrated great loyalty to his family, his work, and to the Cleveland Browns franchise. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, television, film, pool, and was even known to play a very competitive game of chess. Jim was also a friend of animals, having spent many years with his beloved dogs, Symon and Mackenzie.
