Born August 23, 1936 in Randolph. The son of Wilson and Hazel Mangold, a graduate of Randolph High School Class of 1955.
Survived by wife Carol (Fellmeth) Mangold of 51 years, Sons David, Thomas (Shellie) and grandchildren Toni and T.J. all from Randolph, nieces, nephews, brother Delbert (Joyce) and dogs Missy and Suzie.
A member of the Randolph United Methodist Church, Randolph Historical Society (Founder and former President) and past member of the Ohio Maple Producers Association. Formerly worked as an electrician, plumber and farmer. He was involved in maple syrup production for over 60 years.
Howard was an active historian and avid genealogist for many years actively researching the family’s history. Hobbies included history, farm tractors, antiques and the internet.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm where funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, at 10:00am with Pastor Phil Hoverstock officiating. Cremation will follow.
