Hilda R. Tusing

Hilda Rose Tusing, 85, of Ravenna, passed away on July 26, 2023 at UH Portage Medical Center. She was born on April 30, 1938 in Fairmont, West Virginia; a daughter of the late Mack G. and Clara (Cutlip) Spencer.

After graduating High School in Fairmont, she went to work at Westinghouse/Philips. Hilda was a farm girl and knew how to work very hard. On December 24, 1960, she married Harry A. Tusing, where they resided in Ravenna, OH. As life moved forward, Hilda went to work for Pacco Rubber Company for 17 years. Following their plant closure, she continued to work in manufacturing at various local companies until retiring in 2004.

Hilda is survived by her daughters Sherry L. Saltsman (Vince), Jennifer J. Robison (Ken) of Ravenna, the father of her daughters, Harry A. Tusing (Velma) of Fancy Gap, VA. Brothers Junior Spencer of Mannington WVA, Charles Spencer (Sharon) of Farmington WVA, Brother in Law, Rev. Bill Burrows. Sister, Delsie West of Chicago, IL and Sister in Law, Sharon Spencer of Ravenna.

She is also survived by her Grandchildren Kyle (Kaitlyn) Robison, Ryan (Danielle) Saltsman, Wesley (Adreanna) Saltsman and Paige Robison, Ravenna.

Dear Great Grand Mother to; Remington Saltsman, Luca Robison and Quinn Saltsman, Ravenna.

In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her brothers Edward Spencer, Gail Spencer, Earl Spencer, Mack Spencer and Jim Spencer; her sister Edith Burrows, sister in law, Melva Spencer and brother in law, Wayman West.

The family would like to thank UH Portage Medical Center and Alter Care of Brimfield for their compassionate care.
